Hello Parents/Guardians of Interlake music students!
Interlake Music Parents Association (“IMPA”) is asking for your support. Instead of holding multiple fundraisers this school year, we’re directly appealing to you for donations to help cover the costs of enhancing your child’s music education.
What you can do to help
The music programs your child participates in at Interlake receive only the most basic funding from the school and district. Money raised by IMPA enhances your child’s music education by funding additional things, such as clinicians, equipment purchase & repair, scholarships for trips, costs for transportation to festivals, concerts, & field trips. IMPA has budgeted $50,000 for these expenses for this year, or about $200 per student in the music program. We request that you consider making a tax-deductible donation of $200 (or more!) to IMPA to help us continue to enhance the wonderful musical education our kids are receiving.
We hope you will agree that by doing a direct appeal like this, we avoid the overhead cost and effort of fundraisers - e.g. cookie dough sales or auctions - saving us all time and money in the end.
How you can donate
You can donate online using PayPal at our website http://www.interlakemusic.org/, or you can drop off a check in an envelope (checks should be payable to “Interlake Music Parents Association”) at the front desk at school. Also, please forward this to your family and friends who might consider making a donation to IMPA this year, even if they don’t have a student at Interlake. Is it tax deductible?
Yes! IMPA is a 501(c)3 non-profit - all donations are fully tax deductible. Some larger companies (e.g. Microsoft, Boeing, Google, Expedia) will even match donations from employees, so please make sure to check with your employer to see if they have a participating program.
How you can help in other ways
We understand that finances may be limited for your family. If that’s the case, please consider donating your time by volunteering to help with one of our events. We send out requests for volunteers throughout the school year via CHARMS and direct email. Please help out as much as you can - these events are critical for showing our students how much we support their musical accomplishments.

Support IMPA throughout the year....
Help support the IMPA program! Funds raised are used to purchase new sheet music; maintain and replace instruments; and to pay for guest clinicians, field trips, festival fees, and new uniforms. Donations to the IMPA are tax-deductible as IMPA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our Treasurer will be happy to provide you with a letter confirming your donation. If you wish your donation to be earmarked for scholarships, clinician funds, or a particular group, such as Choir, simply provide that information with your donation.
